Last week our producer Angie and host, Pretty Lou from Front Stage Radio invited us to check out this exclusive networking event. Little did we know it was The Breakfast Club's one year anniversary! That's right DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God, celebrated their 1 Year Anniversary with Power 105.1 (Congrats). This hip event was in collaboration with Mike Kyser’s (President of Atlantic Records) Bottles & Strikes soiree at Frames Bowling Lounge in NYC! The occasion was sponsored by Belvedere Red (50% of profits went to the HIV/AIDS Prevention). Supermodel, Jessica White - the official host - kept the crowd entertained, reminding everyone how to party. There were 10 lanes of private bowling, a private lounge to mingle and cocktails galore!

Who was in attendance?!? Vado, Melyssa Ford, Joe Buddens, DJ Clue, and Tank. We had the opportunity to catch up with VH1's Mob Wives' star Carla Facciolo, who gave us advice and tips on how to network and divulged alittle bit of what to expect in the second season. Charlamagne tha God, also showed us some love and explained his thoughts on networking! Anddd we got Chris Gotti (Irv Gotti's brother) to shoutout Scene Stealers. (Check the video).

We were really thrilled to attend this event and be surrounded with so many successful and creative people -- It truly keeps us going!

Here are some networking tips from us to you:
  1. Always bring a business card and hand them out.
  2. Have a clear understanding of what you do and why, for whom, and what makes your doing it special or different from others doing the same thing.
  3. Ask questions that are not 'yes' or 'no' answers to keep a convo going.
  4. Be able to articulate what you are looking for and how others may help you.
  5. Follow through quickly and efficiently on referrals you are given.
  6. Keep in contact with those who may benefit from what you do and vice versa.
xo, Jessica and Samantha
