Mixed with a little Sazon...

Video Song: "Love Drug" - The Kickdrums
_____________________________________________________________________________

Hey Guys,

I hope you enjoyed our “Spotlight” of the month feature =) Do you have what it takes to become a "Spotlighter"? Or do you have a cool event/venue you would like for us to cover?  Well e-mail us at nyscenestealer@gmail.com, we got you !

with Kenny Ortega
Jess and I’s second home - Sazon Restaurant  - the tropical, sexy/sophisticated ambiance attracts a sense of tranquility and captures the culture and art of Puerto Rico. You all have to come by…especially Saturdays that's when the party really starts! You can find us both there, I work the lounge and she holds it down in the office. I love dabbling into this industry, it’s a perfect experience and a great way to get our foot in the door toward our future investment!

Have you heard Sazon shoutouts on x96.3? They play it every 5mins. They even shoutout our very own Chef Frank!! Jess and I hung out with DJ Sleepy from the (x93.6) Luis Jimenez Show! We had an interesting outing after a night at Sazon lol. We actually found out his big sister is singer, Lumidee.

with Victor Cruz
Urban Latino always manage to have our after-party events at the venue! Last week was a perfect example for that. We had our Acoustic Wednesday there (check Jess's post for the 411) and we also hosted the 100 Hispanic Men after-party! The 100 Hispanic Men produced a Comedy Fundraiser at the Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre. The non-profit organization started out as a forum for Hispanic men in 2006. Today, it is a platform for Hispanic men with diverse backgrounds and careers. Through networking and community involvement, their goal is to form new possibilities for young people, build groundbreaking programs and revitalized communities. The evening was hosted by Kenny Ortega (Urban Latino Radio, SiTV Latino Laugh Festival, MTV Tr3s). Not only did he make people cry out of laughter, he also introduced the following comedians: Victor Cruz (SiTV Latino Laugh Festival, Law & Order), Gina Brillion (Comedy Central's Live at Gotham, MTV Tr3s) and Vladimir Caamano (Stand Up 360 at the Movies, Comic Quikies). The night was so funny!

#FunFact - Laughter can help relieve pain, bring greater happiness, and even increase immunity! Its good for the Soul and Body =).

Anyway you guys! I have to run off and get some sleep. Today is going to be a long day/night. We are working the LQs event where Alex Sensation and Johnnie Walker Black Label will announce their partnership. It should be a good night! ;)

xo, Samantha

Song of the Week:   "Fired Up" - Funky Dog  (This song always gets me pumped up for work!! It makes me almost want to fist pump lol).

_______

What is up!

Haha, so I bet you all thought Samantha and I wouldn't put another post up this month...but you were wrong!! (lol) Nah, but we do honestly apologize for not putting our posts up in a timely manner, we're still trying to get used to our busy schedules.  It's hard, but I think little by little we're finding our groove and are managing our time better between our multiple jobs and projects. As always though, thanks for checking in with us!

Zeitlin Perez
So this week was all about our third home, Sazon (1st being out actual homes (lol) and 2nd being Urban Latino).  We attended GIVEN Liqueur's Acoustic Wednesday which featured LIVE performances from our friends, Zeitlin Perez, Joshua Torrez and new up-and-comer, Prez.

Zeitlin Perez has performed for Merengue pioneers: Rubby Perez, Johnny Ventura, and The Henry Jimenez band. But her main highlight came from being on tour with Grammy award winning Dominican Merengue singer, Milly Quezada also known as the Merengue queen. Zeitlin’s range of music varies from R&B, Salsa, Spanish rock - but her heart will always be Merengue! She wants to follow the footsteps of Milly Quezada, but also strives to be able to sing in both worlds (English and Spanish).

Joshua Torrez
Vocalist and Guitarist Joshua Torrez  is originally from Chicago. The artist is so young and talented, with an old but wise soul that transfers into his songs - his music is definitely reminiscent of Al Green.

Prez from IME Records added the "Hip Hop" element to Wednesday's performance. The South Jamaica, Queens native performed his latest work, based on his trial and tribulations. "Hip Hop allows people to express themselves in a free manner, and allows different races and religions to meet on common ground.” stated the young MC.

Prez
It was a great night that showcased lots of talent!  Later on that week, Samantha worked the 100 Hispanic Men Comedy event at the Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre with Kenny Ortega, Victor Cruz, Gina Brillion and Vladimir Caamano (read her post for more details). The after-party was at Sazon, where I was working. So Samantha filled me in on all the hilarious jokes from that night.

Hope you enjoyed this week's blog and video!! Have an awesome week =)

xo, Jessica

Stealing a Scene with...#TeamPanConQueso

SPOTLIGHT OF THE MONTH

 ________________________

Whiz Khalifa's "Black and Yellow" became the post-season rap anthem for the Pittsburgh Steelers and inspired a number of remixes, from Fabolous' "White and Navy" to Jersey Shore castmate, Vinny's "Black and Guido"...but none have created as much buzz as Juan Bago and O's spoof "Pan Con Queso."

Since its debut on February 4th, it has become viral hit among Latinos and put the Washington Heights area of New York on the map. With over 300,000 hits between Youtube and World Star Hip-Hip, Juan Bago and O are without question creating a scene of their own.

This past week, we meet up with the comedic duo behind "Pan Con Queso," to get the story behind their craving for the Latino breakfast staple and what they have planned next.  And if you want to see this lip syncing duo perform LIVE, be sure to hit up SOB's on Sunday, February 27th as they open for Mala Maluca to celebrate Dominican Independence Day.

Here's a little more info on the duo:

Michael Diaz is an accomplished writer/producer/actor and director. Born and raised in the Connecticut suburbs, his passion for performing started at an early age. By the time Michael moved to NYC’s Washington Heights, he had starred in projects and films such as "The Preston Lopez Show", "In Hood Politics" and "Looters." His experiences in front of the camera soon led to work behind the scenes, assisting in various production roles. He became more interested in the film production process as a whole and began honing his skills in writing, producing and directing. In 2006, Michael combined all his available talents to release the independent film "The Story of Juan Bago." The success of the film led to Michael’s involvement with various projects such as "A Song and a Prayer” (AD), "Erica" (AP), "Color" (Producer), "El Sueno" (Actor), "Awilda and a Bee" (Actor), "Jolopeo" (Producer & AD), HBO’s “Habla” (Actor), “The Shooter” (Actor), and “Tomate” (Actor). During his whirlwind of a career he also began the formation of Heights Entertainment, a multi-service production company specializing in marketing, public relations and film production. One of HE’s projects has been Room 28 Comedy, a live and online video sketch comedy group, were he serves as both a producer and talent. He is in post production in his first directing role “The Tickets” and is currently enrolled in the famous “Upright Citizen Brigade.”

Oscar E. Martinez is a recent college graduate with a knack for making people laugh. This charismatic Dominican from the Bronx, undoubtedly has a love for entertaining.  He's been featured in an official television commercial for Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus and hosted a variety of social University events. In April of 2010, he was offered an amazing opportunity to play the lead in a new Aloe Blacc music video,“I Need A Dollar,” the theme song to HBO's How To Make It In America. Later that year, Oscar submitted a video entry to become an official video host for the 2010 New York International Latino Film Festival. The fans voted and Mr. Martinez was seen on various social platforms, including the NYILFF website, clearly "stealing the scene" with the hottest Latino stars on the red carpet and at exclusive events. 2010 got even better for Oscar when the New York Jets noticed his confident on-screen presence and invited him to be an official correspondent for “Los Jets” during the New Meadowlands Hispanic Heritage Game. Be on the lookout for Oscar Martinez...he'll be on a screen near you in no time!

Keep Your Heels High & Self Confidence Higher

Video Song: "Strike A Pose Part III" - NI** Sky (MadeMe Mixtape)

Hey Guys,

JLo's Sexy Grammy Shoes
Gwyneth Paltrow's Performance Shoes!
Did you check out the Grammy's Sunday? Honestly I wasn't to fond of it, but congrats to all the winners! I really think my Justin Beiber was robbed thought! :'( .  But the red carrpet was great!!! My fave celebrity look came from Ms. Selena Gomez (Mrs. Beiber :p)! I'm telling you, for an 18 year old, she has such an amazing sense of style! Oh & I absolutely adored J.Lo's and Gwyneth Paltrow's shoes! They were super sexxxyyyyy!

Jess and I went over our Grammy fashion opinions on the radio. Yup, that's right, we debuted our very own "SCENE STEALER" segment. As of this past Monday Pretty Lou and the Front Stage fam has us on EVERY Monday. We will bring you the latest gossip and scoop on what's new! This past week Lou really put us and his guest co-host, Jasmine (@Jasygirl24) on blast lol. Our half hour debut turned into the WHOLE SHOW! It got pretty personal and scandalous lol but I guess that's what we get for being on the most controversial online radio show ! Oh and join the LIVE message board that goes on the site. I'm telling you it gets pretty crazy.

Our LXIV bag!
Jess and I also went to a fashion show at the Rivington Hotel. It was actually a Fall 2011 Exclusive Press Collection by LXIV "In the Raw". I witnessed a lot of knee high socks on the runway (think Catholic school girl uniforms). There were also a lot of cropped belly-bearing shirts. We had a moment with the designer, Chou Xiong-Neri after the show. She was very proud with the outcome of her first show. Chou even showered us and her guests with a LXIV bag! So cute.
Juan Bago & "O"
After meeting all these amazing young entrepreneurs, Jess and I thought it would be great to shed some light on them... so as of next Monday we will have a  monthly "Spotlight" segment, where we will acknowledge these "go-getters".  Our first Spotlighters, will be the "Pan Con Queso" stars! I know you guys seen this?! If not click here, the duo kills it with the "Black & Yellow" - Dominican parody - remix! We'll have an exclusive with BOTH of the stars on Monday, so stay tune for that.

 with LXIV Desinger, Chou Xiong-Neri

What's Up!

This week was has been kind of hectic.

Leather tank w/silk tunnel pants
But Samantha and I managed to find some time to close out Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week 2011 with a very unknown fashion designer.

We headed to the Rivington Hotel to catch the LXIV "In the Raw" Fall 2011 Exclusive Press Collection.  The designer, Chou Xiong-Neri presented her new line with 10 original pieces. The collection was very modern with unique materials, including leather, silk and alpaca.

I wish I could write more about the designer and the label...but I couldn't find any information! ::confused face:: For now you can check out her twitter and facebook accounts.

Alpaca top w/leather & silk skirt
Thankfully, we got to chat with Chou after the show for a bit.  A student of Parsons The New School of Design, she obviously loves her fashion and everything and anything that expresses one's individualism. Be sure to be on the look out for her developing projects, LXIV Label and Haute Abettor!

This week we also debuted our half-hour "Scene Stealers" segment on the Front Stage Radio show with Pretty Lou on Urban Latino Radio.  Needless to say, we got pretty "raw" on the show about how we felt about Valentine's Day and other topics (::embarassed face::). We'll be on the show every Monday from 10:30pm-11:00pm, so be sure to tune in!

We also want to announce that we are an official member of the Blogs by Latinas Directory! Blogs by Latinas was created in 2008, after Monique (the creator & founder) did some researching on the internet for other Latina bloggers. Her initial search came up with very few results, so she decided to create a place where Latina bloggers could find each other. The site now has more than 1000 Latina bloggers in the directory and grows daily.  We're super honored and excited to be part of this amazing blogger community.
Enjoying some wine

Song of the Week: "Good Morning" - Kanye West (This gets me in a really good mood in the morning lol...but I like the Kickdrums Remix way better featuring Big Sean.)

The World Is Your Runway...

Strike A Pose Part IV - Ni** Sky (MadeMe MixTape)
____________________________________________________________________

Hey Guys,

OMG its Fashion Week!
Modalista Designers

So to kick off this marvelous week we got invited to a fashion show by Modalista! It’s not just any ordinary online boutique but an outlet for self expression. The runway was super cool and the pieces were fabulous as well! The look was very 1960’s from the style to hair and makeup. I love that retro/mod look they had going on. It kind of reminded me of the young Audrey Hepburn days. I think its genius bringing back “back in the day” fashion with a touch of today…. I LOVE IT!

Scene Stealers with Malik So Chic
For the spring – according to the show – LADIES, try to go for the yellows, blues, a light grey and even black with some serious pumps (think rhinestones, sequence...go crazy with it)! As for the material, go with laced up topsor a sequenced outfit and expose that cleavage ;) FELLAS, its all about the blazers and fitted jeans! NOW GO & EXPRESS YOURSELF!

Kudos to the founder and creative designer Monica Phromsavanh…Great show!  I love the fact that this Latina accomplished her goal as being a successful entrepreneur.

Taboo getting interviewed for ULR
Later that day we went to visit socialite and TV fashion expert, Malik So Chic for his new handbag line called “Pampered Royale” (check Jess’s blog for the 411).

Taboo from THE BLACK EYED PEAS came to our offices, showed some love & posed for Urban Latino Magazine! He was there to promote his new book, Fallin Up; My Story. He was so pleasant to interact with. He even did a drop for us as well as a synopsis of the book (check our video). It’s his story of his trial and tribulations; I can’t wait to read and be inspired. Get your copy!
;)
You know guys, if you really think about it … the world is YOUR runway so whoever is distracting you, simply maintain that focused face and make sure NO ONE GETS in your way (wear confidence as your makeup).  Seriously, I realized that fashion, books, blogs, radio, TV all have one thing in common and that’s EXPRESSION! So go out there and make a statement!

STRIKE A POSE … "VOUGE" – Madonna, my song of the week.

_______

What's Up!

This week has been awesome! Wednesday kicked off Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week here in New York City. Fashion Week is a week long event that allows fashion designers and brands to display their latest collections in runway shows, while buyers take a look at the latest trends. Most importantly though, it lets the industry know what is "in" and what is "out" for the season.

Modalists Fashion Show
Samantha and I started our Fashion Week early with the Modalistas Fashion Show presented by Fashion Forward Tuesdays. The show was great and featured designs from Charles Dieujuste, Daniela Zagnolli, Dasgupta, Henry De La Paz, Kastle Designs, Shauntele, Tribal Couture and Edwing D'Angelo.  Get the full 411 from Samantha.

After that show, we headed uptown to 220 Atlier for the launch party event for Malik So Chic's Pampered Royale handbag collection.

Malik So Chic, originally from Ohio, is a Manhattan socialite who came to New York about 4 years ago and began working as an assistant for Patti Wilson (a stylist) and V & Visionaire magazines. He is most memorable for his unique sense of style which has led him to host various NYC parties. He is also the co-star of Tinsley Mortimer's reality show High Society, which debuts in March on the CW

Malik So Chic
With a name like Malik So Chic its no wonder, he is serious about his fashion. He was voted best dressed in high school, and its a title he lives up to today. He's often seen wearing rhinestone lens-less glasses and bright (at times outrageous) clothing.

Malik So Chic developed the Pampered Royale label to "represent any woman who aspires to a life of modern luxury without limitations of society or class level."  Pampered Royale is "sexy, confident and seductive...for women who have a talent for making their dreams come true and conduct their life in effortless leisure."

I was not a fan (lol).  The handbags seemed a bit over the top for my liking with mixtures of faux furs, specialty leathers, novelty fabrics and feathers. The handbags seemed almost childish to me.

Scene Stealers w/ Taboo
The next day, we had a visit from Taboo, founding member of the six-time Grammy Award winning group The Black Eyed Peas, here at the Urban Latino offices. He was here in New York City promoting his new memoir Fallin' Up: My Story and for a photoshoot for our upcoming issue of ULM.  The Mexican-American star tells the riveting story of his journey from the drug crime-ridden neighborhoods of L.A. to the packed performance sites around the world. While is rise to fame is inspiring, the book also takes a look at the darker, more private tale of Taboo, from his long neglect of the son he had at eighteen to the addictions to drugs and alcohol that almost ended his career.  His book is honest to say the least and will be on the must-read list for BEP fans, new and old.

Which Way to The Stage?

Video Song: "Yemaya" - Banda Atakke _______________________________________________________________

Hey Guys,

Ok so I lied, lol this is our second week in a row where we’ve been a week late with our posts! But I swear the reasoning to it is legit & you will see soon!!! None the less we are back with some *LATINO* Broadway news!!

Blanca LaSalle, the QUEEN of Latin PR!
Jess and I went to the press conference for Ghetto Klown starring, comedian legend.. John Leguizamo! It was amazing, everything was conducted by Blanca LaSalle (Marc Anthony & JLo’s rep) from Creative Link. The press conference was so organized and on point. I took mental notes, so I know what to do when I conduct one. I had a meeting with her earlier last month along with my boss. Hearing her story gave me a huge boost to achieve more in my career. [View our video for her words in this industry =) ]

With the star, John Leguizamo!
Now back to Ghetto Klown! John Leguizamo returns to Broadway with his new solo play GHETTO KLOWN for 12-weeks! The previews begin on February 21 and the opening will be on Tuesday March 22 at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street). You guys have to check it out ! Click here to get your tix!! At the press conference, John and the director shed some light on what we can expect. Apparently this ONE MAN SHOW will be more of a personal journey of him than just clowning around.

Leguizamo explains, “GHETTO KLOWN is all the things I say to my therapist and my manager, but would NEVER want the general public to know.” - Never say never lol- he First hit the stage with his show Mambo Mouth (1991), which became a smash hit and won the Obie and Outer Circle Critics Award, and later was filmed for HBO, where it picked up a CableACE Award! He returned to the stage four more times with Spic-O-Rama, Freak and Sexaholix... A love Story! And now… GHETTO KLOWN! This will be more of a personal adventure where he will relive moments in his life, especially in the professional aspect. According to Leguizamo this will contain more “real” acting but at the same time maintain his signature comedic style. If you don’t know he was born in Bogotá, Colombia (Viva Colombia) So seeing someone from my background becoming so huge as him is truly inspiring. He has the ability to joke around about his ethnic background but at the same time take pride in being LATINO!

With the talented Actor, Manny Perez
Our next press conference was for La Barberia! Starring La Soga Star (and our friend) MANNY PEREZ and P Diddy’s “Bad Boy of Comedy“(a Sazon regular), RUPERTO VANDERPOOL! La Barberia is a musical comedy play that was written by David Maldonado and Ari Maniel Cruz, It was directed by Waddy Jaquez and produced by David Maldonado and John Toro - whom also co produced El Cantante (starring Marc Anthony and JLo),  Celia - The life and Music of Celia Cruz, and Quien Mato a Hector Lavoe?

So you already know this production has to be FABULOUS!  It opens TOMORROW FEB 3rd, 2011! For Tickets click here! So do you wonder what takes place in a Washington Heights barber shop? Well come and watch this Dominican/Latino dramatic comedy. The story is set in a barbershop aka “La Barberia”. Believe it or not La Barberia is the trendy “HOTSPOT” for Latino men today. It’s a place where they can do there “boys will be boys” thing regardless of there economic status. The topics that are usually discussed during this down time are; women (go figure -_-), music, baseball and politics. So here’s the scoop, Manny Perez’s character Benny owns the barber shop and faces a dilemma whether to sell the shop for a multi-million dollar offer or not. Before reaching his decision he faces serious and hilarious dialog with his customers, and loved ones. La Barberia will take the audience to a emotional journey of hope & identity, The play will bring up the philosophical question of - where are we going? …so there’s no doubt that this will be a tear jerker!

(Shout Out to Manny and Ruperto for giving us a Scene Stealer drop; view video)

As you can tell these past Press Conferences were dedicated to Latino Theatre. So please show support and watch these plays. I’m excited to see them =)
Kenny Ortega and Ray Wagner!

During our hectic schedule, Jess and I were asked by radio personality, Kenny Ortega to be on his One 2 Quarto Show, on Urban Latino Radio! Of course we complied & boy was it an experience lol. Him along with Ray Wagner (aka Gringo) definitely put Jess and I on blast a couple of times. However, it was all in fun! They actually raised a couple of good questions that stomped Jess and I a little. For example: "How do you feel about being responsible for your followers?" Sheesh, when he put it like that, we have a lot of pressure lol! Its great to have people look up to us and become inspired by us, so if we are able to motivate our future then that’s an amazing BONUS within our journey. We spoke about almost everything, from boys to having a fragrance?!? haha..yup Ray created a “Scent Stealer” flyer for a potential perfume line! After discussing Kenny's One 2 Quarto fragrance…hmmm a fragrance idea actually doesn’t sound so bad ;)

Overall, we were very happy to be on Kenny’s show! He has appeared everywhere; Urban Latino Radio, SiTv Latino Laugh Festival, MTV Tr3s and The Dave Chappelle Show! He has also performed in comedy venues throughout NYC (Laugh Lounge, HA! Comedy Club, to name a few). Don’t forget to catch him and Ray every Monday through Thursday from 1pm to 4pm on urbanlatinoradio.com with on One 2 Quarto. Thank you for having us! You guys were truly amazing.

Thanks to the the URBAN LATINO RADIO FAMILY for allowing us to flourish and grow within the beautiful art of on-line radio! I GREW A NEW LOVE FOR RADIO <3 It's such an awesome experience and a great way to express/share your thoughts and views. Definitely something I want to pick at more!!

Ok well that’s all!!

Song of the week - Desert Rain -Edward Maya feat Vika Jigulina...makes me think of Hooka and belly dancing every time I hear it lol

xo, Samantha

________

What's up!

So this past week the Broadway League and NYC & Company (New York City's official tourism organization) announced their winter marketing programs - including the first ever Broadway Week featuring some great deals, like 2-for-1 tickets to participating shows! New York City's Broadway week began January 24th and will continue until February 10th.  Broadway Week, along with New York City's Restaurant Week (Jan 24th-Feb 6th), is a great way for not only visitors but residents of NYC to experience the very best of what NYC has to offer this winter season.

The launch of Broadway Week complements this week's blog perfectly for us! We had the privilege to attend TWO press conferences for LATINO shows hitting the Broadway/off-Broadway scene this year.

John Leguizamo & Fisher Stevens (director)
On Monday, January 24th, Samantha and I trooped it in the snow to the Snapple Theater to hear and ask questions about John Leguizamo's new one man show "Ghetto Klown."  Before I get into "Ghetto Klown," let me give you a little background on Mr. Leguizamo. Leguizamo studied acting with Lee Strasberg and Wynn Handman at New York University. Since then he's become a multi-faceted performer and Emmy award winner, establishing a career that in a surprising way kind of defies categorization. He's worked in film, theatre, television and literature, that has covered a variety of genres and continuously threatens to create a few of this own. You may remember Leguizamo from such films as "Summer of Sam," "Love in the Time of Cholera," Nothing Life the Holidays," The Happening," "Moulin Rouge," "William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet," "Carlito's Way," and "To Wong Foo: Thanks for Everything"
for which he received a Golden Globe nomination for best supporting actor...and that's just to name a few.
"Ghetto Klown"
Leguizamo (in 1991) created an off-Broadway sensation as the writer and performer of his one man show "Mambo Mouth," in which he portrayed several different characters.  "Mambo Mouth" received various awards, was aired as a special on HBO...and led to this first television comedy special on Comedy Central.  Ultimately "Mambo Mouth" was a great success and Leguizamo followed up with other one man shows - "Spic-O-Rama," "Freak," and "Sexaholic...A Love Story." This all has led up to his next one man show "Ghetto Klown." The play, which is directed by Fisher Stevens, is described as the next chapter in Leguizamo's hugely popular personal and professional story.  Leguizamo will take the audience on a fever-pitched adventure from his adolescent memories in Queens to the early days of his acting career during the 80s avant-garde theatre scene to the sets of major motion pictures where he played opposite to some of Hollywood's biggest stars. The play promises to be full of explosive energy and vivid accounts of where he's been and the colorful characters who have populated his life. Previews for the play begin February 21st at the Lyceum Theatre and is set to open on March 22nd for a 12-week limited engagement.

Wednesday, January 26th, we were offered another opportunity to guest co-host on Urban Latino Radio with Kenny Ortega on his "One2Quatro" Show from 1pm to 4pm. Let's just say...it was a hilarious 3 hours of radio talk (lol)! Thank you to Kenny and Ray for having us on the show and for the hugely entertaining conversations!

"La Barberia" cast
Later that very night...again in the snow...Samantha and I trooped it uptown to Altus Cafe for the press conference for "La Barberia" (The Barbershop). This new Spanglish comedic drama, presented by David Maldonado and Ari Maniel Cruz, is the story of Bennt Acevedo, the owner of a barbershop in Washington Heights, who faces the toughest decision of his life in regards to his business.  The story plays out against a score of original contemporary Latin music emanating from the airwaves and boosts an all Latino cast, including our dear friend Manny Perez, Ruperto Vanderpool, Mateo Gomez, Modesto Lacen, Sunilda Caraballo, Ivan Camilo, Gracinay Miranda and more. "La Barberia" directed by Waddys Jacquez is sure to be a funny and wistful portrait of the Washington Heights neighborhood and a tribute to its community. Officially opening February 17th (with previews beginning February 3rd), "La Barberia" will be running at the New World Stages until April 24th.
Me w/ my LS Heather's little princess Alexis

We definitely can't wait to see these shows...and after the close of "In The Heights" and "West Side Story," we're loving that Latinos are making a comeback on Broadway one show at a time!

Have an awesome week!!

xo, Jessica
