Video Song: "Blow Up" - J.Cole

Hey Guys,

2010 Birthday!
I must say September is the best month ever! The past couple of weeks we been celebrating our birthdays, I turned 25 on September, 11th and Jess 26 on the 19th . . . and on September 21st 2011 marked Scene Stealers 1st Birthday/Anniversary!! ahhhh its crazy how time flies. I would like to use this post to recap and embrace all of our support give ourselves a pat in the back. Within a year, we worked and attended various events. We met and collaborated with incredible people within the industry (from all forms of media) such us John Leguizamo, Prince Royce, Brandy, Eddie Palmieri, Sandra Guzman and much much more! (Yes, I know big willies) One of my highlights was meeting Marc Anthony's Publicist Blanca LaSalle (a woman who I look up too when it comes to my Public Relations career). Not so shabby for 12 months, huh?... I remember when it just became an idea on paper, and now its molding into something huge!!
Aside from being a lifestyle/entertainment blog, Scene Stealers is the current Fashion & Beauty editors for Urban Latino Mag and we also have our very own segment on the #1 online radio show Front Stage Radio with Pretty Lou. We have so many projects ahead of us and with faith and a positive attitude - I KNOW WE WILL GO FAR! What we personally love about this blog is the fact its our "Open Diary" - we want you guys to be inspired and learn/motivate yourself in doing whatever you set your little heart to.  We also want Scene Stealers to eventually become a platform to all other young entrepreneurs (we are the future, ya know).
Now here goes my Thank Yous!
Thank you to YOU, if it wasn't for our readers/viewers we wouldn't be here and it would not be as important. Even the people who says "Stop wasting your time" - you don't have to believe in us but what I do suggest is stop thinking negative! embark on your own dream,  with determination and a great support system anything is possible. Thank you to our boss, Jorge Cano Moreno, Angela, Domingo, Pretty Lou and our friends/sisters/fellow greeks who support us weekly.
2011 Birthday =)
Thank you to my partner in crime Jessica, I know we have had our ups and downs and I can sometimes drift away with all these ideas, so thanks for putting me on check when I need it and helping me prioritze lol (I know I can be a little scatter brained - I just get too excited lol :/).  Nothing in this world is perfect and we know we have a lot to grow and work on , we know we will experience disappointments, but we got this! all these sleepless nights and extra hours at the office WILL pay off... like I stated in our first blog - "You are basically reading/looking at HISTORY IN THE MAKING! ;)"

xo, Samantha

What's Up!

So we officially have one year in the game...and it feels pretty good, but there's still a lot we have to work on and get accomplished. #TeamNoSleep.

I'm going to keep this really short...I just want to thank all of our followers thus far, you are our toughest critics...your comments, feedback and support have been vital to Samantha and I's "scene stealer" journey.

We hope that you continue to share in our adventures and help us to grow and improve with every post. We're looking forward to a brand new year of fun events, influential people and informative topics...we have a lot in store...so stay tuned!!!

To the Urban Latino (Jorge) & Urban Latino Radio (Angela, Pretty Lou & the rest of the Front Stage)  family - thank you for believing in our idea and allowing us to use the Urban Latino brand as our launching point. We appreciate all the help you've given us to improve and expand the "scene stealers" brand.

To my partner-in-crime, Samantha - focus coño!...nah, I'm joking but not really (lol). Thank you for believing in the project as much as I do...and for reminding me of its potential on those days when I didn't see it or was just plain ol' grumpy. We definitely have big things in store for us...its just a matter of time. Oh and speaking on time...let's try to get our posts up in time this year lol! <3 you.

Jessica's Bucket List #21 - The Sky's the Limit

Video Song: "Moment 4 Life" - Nikki Minaj
___________________________________________________________

What up!!!

Since you got a nice little dose of Samantha last week with her recap of her press trip to Colombia...I'm here this week to include you in on my quest to complete my bucket list.

Why do I even have a bucket list at 25?!...Well folks, not to sound morbid but you just never know...and I want to look back on my life with the cofidence that I truly experienced everything this world has to offer and enjoyed every single minute of it...and why not bring you along for the ride?

So with that, here it is...my bucket list adventures with you all, in no particular order.

#21 - Skydiving

"Jumping is fun! Skydiving is not just falling; it is flying—the closest we have been able to come to free, unencumbered, non-mechanical individual flight." - Mike Turoff, The Skydiver's Handbook

I totally, without a doubt agree! I mean seriously, who grew up not wanting to be able to fly, like a bird or their favorite superhero?!

Anyway, my skydiving trip was totally random. Christi (my linesister) hit me up one day about going with a group of people skydiving to celebrate our mutal friend, O'brian's birthday...I said was down...and boom bam!, the following week I'm putting down a deposit and finding coverage for work.

Saturday August 20th, I woke up super early to meet Christi in Queens and grab some breakfast. It was about 45-minute drive into Long Island to reach our destination, the Long Island Skydiving Center.

I wasn't nervous...not even when I was signing my life away (and I mean literally signing my life away). I wasn't nervous as I watched others in our group suit up, walk away and eventually fall from the sky.

It wasn't until we were on the plane...this plane that only took 2 people at a time...this plane that was small and rickety as hell...this plane that took the longest two-mile climb above the ground, which is about 10,000 feet in the air.

The professionals opened the plane door (fyi we were tandem jumping). As I looked down I was able to see Christi, who had already jumped. Then his crazy man, Joe, behind me gave me my instructions:

1. Put my left leg over his leg, on the ledge of the plane's wheel
2. Let go and arch my whole body back, holding on to the straps of the chute
3. When he taps me, spread my arms

Man, that step on the ledge, whew! Adrenaline was pumping...then we let ourselves go. Those were the most interesting and enjoyable seconds ever. For approximately 40-50 seconds, its a complete freefall...at about 120 mph. After a few seconds, it doesn't seem like falling anymore...but almost like your floating in the air...then Joe ripped the chute.

The chute opened (thank goodness, lol) and it was a bit of a jolt. The canopy flight, though much slower than the freefall, was just as amazing...the sight beautiful.

We grew closer and closer to the drop zone...and then it was time to land. My only instruction...when Joe told me to, pick up my legs. The landing was super smooth...I landed on my feet with complete exhilaration.

I did it. I jumped out of a plane.
